Big Island Surf Report for Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Small craft advisories are in effect for all Hawaiian waters exposed to the Easterly tradewinds of 15 - 25 knots.

Northeast Shore 2- 3ft.
Beach breaks  & Points from Hamakua to North Kohala 1- 3ft.
Northwest Shore Flat
Southwest Shore 1- occ 2ft.
Southeast Shore 2- 4 ft.

Surf heights are based on “face value” i.e. 1-2’: Ankle-to-knee high; 3-4’: Waist high; 4-6’: Chest high-to-overhead, and so on.
